Manager Medical Services (m/f/d)

In the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Full-time / 40 hours per week / limited with a reason in kind until late summer 2025

The position is located in the sports sector. As Manager of Medical Services, you make a significant contribution to the successful execution of the event.

We would entrust you in particular with the fulfilment of these tasks: 

  • Technical planning and organization of the Medical Services (Athletes) department, in close cooperation with the lead Doping Control department

  • Development, finalization, and implementation of the Medical Care Concept for the sports involved in RR2025, considering international federation requirements, FISU guidelines, and the overall event concept

  • Internal coordination with other departments (Venue Management, Competition Management, Accommodation, Safety & Security, etc.) to plan the Medical Services for Athletes as a central function within the Sports Team

  • Independent preparation and handling of contract and procurement content in collaboration with internal departments

  • Planning and recruitment of doctors and physiotherapists

  • Creation of schedules and timelines

  • Organization, execution, and follow-up of meetings and appointments related to the Medical Services area

  • Coordination and management of service and cooperation partners and providers (such as hospitals or medical service providers)

  • Support in budget planning and control for the Doping Control department

You bring the following skills & knowledge with you: 

  • A completed academic degree (Master's or university diploma), ideally in health/medical management, sports science, sports/event/venue management, or a comparable qualification

  • Experience in event management, ideally in high-performance sports

  • Knowledge of sports structures

  • Experience in handling tenders and procurement content

  • Demonstrated experience in project management

  • Experience in coordinating, managing, and supervising service providers

  • Good knowledge of Office 365

  • High degree of flexibility and dedication

  • Friendly and open demeanor, ability to work well in teams

  • Enjoyment of working independently

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Very good German and English language skills
