Delegation Webinar: over 80 federations took part

The inaugural Delegation Webinar for the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games Summer took place on 1 July 2024. This key event was attended by delegations from all continents and offered essential information to aid in their preparations.

FISU President Leonz Eder opened the webinar with a warm welcome, expressing gratitude to the more than 80 National University Sport Federations that registered to attend. He also commended the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Organising Committee for their dedication and hard work in planning the event.

The webinar, moderated by Mirinda Kidman (Delegation Services), Donna Spethman (International Services) and Anita Hartung (sports), provided a comprehensive insight into various aspects of the Games. Topics included the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 event concept, an overview of the host cities, and the sport programme. In addition, key information about Games Services, Arrivals and Departures, daily operations for Heads of Delegation, and the new FISU registration system was covered. The webinar also outlined the upcoming registration timeline and deadlines.

The webinar had high attendance, marking the beginning of close collaboration between the Organising Committee and delegations as they gear up for the next FISU Summer Games. A further webinar is planned for November 2024 and February 2025.
