What is audio description? Audio description is an acoustic description of visual content. It enables people with visual impairments or blindness in particular to experience the action on the pitch, the emotions of the athletes and the atmosphere in the stadium in a more accessible way. Furthermore, the radio format is open to everyone to experience the finals of sports described visually. In addition to the web player, you can also use the audio description function via the Mycrocast app. Please select the ticket category Audio description directly in the ticket shop.

Young Commentators
As part of the Young Sports Media Talents project, the organising committee of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games is proud to introduce the six participants of the Young Commentators Programme, who will provide live and inclusive commentary during the FISU Games. Each student commentator will be paired with an experienced reporter to form a tandem team, offering live audio descriptions for selected sports events at the FISU Games. With this initiative, the organising committee not only enhances accessibility for blind and visually impaired spectators but also supports the development of the next generation of audio description commentators.
