1. INFORMATION ABOUT THE GAMES
The FISU World University Games are a major sports competition.
Male and female students take part in the competition.
The competition takes place every 2 years.
It takes place in summer and winter.
The next summer games in 2025 will be called: Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games.
The short form is: Rhine-Ruhr 2025.
The Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Games will take place from 16 to 27 July 2025.
The host cities are in the Rhine-Ruhr region and in Berlin.
The Rhine-Ruhr region is a region in the west of Germany.
The Games have already been held in the Rhine-Ruhr region.
The Games were held in Duisburg in 1989. The cities for the Games in 2025 are:
8,500 athletes and officials are coming to the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games.
They come from about 150 countries.
They will compete against each other in 18 types of sport.
For the first time, Para Sport will be taking part with 3x3 wheelchair basketball.
There will also be music from well-known artists.
And there will be exhibitions and other shows.
You can take part in sport and experience great things.
We believe that sport, culture and science can change a lot.
That's why we're organising this big event.

3. FESTIVAL PROGRAMME
A spectacular ceremony on 16 July 2025 will open the FISU Games in the Schau-Ins-Land-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg.
There will be a varied programme to take part in over the 12 days.
It consists of exciting trend sports, art and culture.
There are many inclusive sporting and cultural offers.
Visitors can try out different types of sport and take part in cultural workshops.
And relax in the ‘Comfort Zone’.
The ‘Kids Zone’ offers fun for the whole family.
The RUHR GAMES in Bochum are a highlight.
The RUHR GAMES are a sports festival for children and young people.
The FISU World Conference 2025 is a science conference.
It lasts for three days: from 17 to 19 July 2025.
It will take place in the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum.
It is about sustainability and health in sport and at universities.
There will be many interesting presentations and discussions.
Participants come from around 40 countries.
There will be a great sports festival at the end of the FISU Games.
On 27 July 2025 in the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord.
The Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games will create lasting memories.
They will set new standards in sport, sustainability and participation.

4. TICKET INFORMATION AND ACCESSIBILITY
There are currently two types of tickets for sale:
One type for the Opening Ceremony.
One type as a Ground Pass.
The Ground Pass is a multi-sport ticket.
With the multi-sport ticket you can visit all types of sport.
Tickets for individual sports and events will soon be available to buy.
All venues are barrier-free.
There are also barrier-free car parks.
And there are accessible toilets.
Many final games have inclusive services for people with disabilities:

There is also a tandem option.
People with and without disabilities can apply as a tandem.
They work together as a team.
The person without a disability fills out the application first.
A partner can then be added via the volunteer portal.
