Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview after the application's deadline. The final list of participants will be published on the website in March 2025. Important Notice
The project of Young Sports Media Talents consisits of three programmes:
FISU-AIPS Young Reporters (run by the International University Sports Federation)
FISU-AIPS International Young Reporters
FISU-AIPS National Young Reporters
Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Young Photographers presented by Nikon (run by the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Organising Committee)
Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Young Commentators (run by the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Organising Committee)
Please note, that two different application procedures are in place for these three programmes concerning national and international applicants. To be considered for a Games-time role at the FISU-AIPS International Young Reporters programme, international candidates (i.e., coming from outside Germany and from outside the European Union) are asked to submit applications directly to the International University Sports Federation (FISU) via email at youngreporters@fisu.net.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are selected based on their past experiences and portfolios, their educational backgrounds and letters of motivation, and on the recommendations of teaching staff or managers. To qualify for consideration, candidates must:
Be aged between 18 and 25 on 1 June 2025
Be a student or recent graduate of media-focused academic programmes
Possess minimum language skills of C1 (Advanced English) for international participants, and fluency in German for national participants
Be available on the event days (from 13 to 28 July 2025)
Attend organisational briefings in the Rhine-Ruhr region on a select number of days during the pre-FISU Games period
Participate in a pre-determined number of educational activities, such as lectures, seminars, and workshops (at a partner university or online)
Hold either a German residence permit or German citizenship (for national participants) or possess an ID and travel document valid for travel to Germany (for international participants)
PROCESS
Step 1: Submit application documents
Step 2: Complete an interview (if short-listed)
Step 3: Receive offer (if successful)
Step 4: Participate in educational activities
Step 5: Participate in organisational briefings
Step 6: Start planning for the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Step 7: Contribute to the global coverage of FISU Games and enjoy your time in Rhine-Ruhr
