Campaign Manager (f/m/d)

In the organizing committee of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games Full-time / 40 hours per week / a fixed-term position justified by the duration of the project until late summer 2025..

As Campaign Manager (m/f/d), you will take on a key position in our organizational team in the communications department as an expert for project management in the areas of communication, media and creation.

The following tasks are the main focus of your work:

  • Responsible for advising, implementing and managing integrated marketing campaigns and

    measures and translate these into an implementation-oriented timeline

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy that represents our multisport event worldwide and effectively reaches and activates our target groups

  • Working closely with various stakeholders and are responsible for coordinating our classic & online campaigns in close collaboration with the creative team

  • Prioritizing campaign planning, taking into account different partner structures (municipalities, municipal partners, sponsors and shareholders as well as international and national associations)

  • Creation of a promotion plan - in coordination with campaign planning and taking into account the use of available funds and a balanced distribution across the region and nationwide

  • Defining the instruments for an effective marketing mix in coordination with the FAs Content & Design and Media as well as the Chief Communications Officer

  • Review the success of campaigns on the basis of suitable key figures and derive initiatives for optimization

  • Coordination of external service providers and working with our creative and media agencies to further develop the various advertising campaigns, create distribution strategies and maintain an overview of the market

  • Additionally, taking on project management responsibility, acting as a face-to-face contact and providing expert advice to internal departments and external stakeholders

  • Responsibility for the use of resources and their effectiveness based on the budget

  • Coordination and, if necessary, creation of plans and/or presentations that show and visualize the existing plans

  • Planning and organization of various promotional activities and promotional materials in the overall context of the event. This also includes internal coordination, monitoring, reporting and, if necessary, support at the event locations

  • Creation of procurement processes for campaign and promotion planning (incl. procurement management for the area in coordination with Finance)

You bring the following skills & knowledge with you: 

  • You convince us with your self-confident appearance and your independent and autonomous way of working

  • Creativity and a deep understanding of the connection between media and creation in marketing

  • With your communicative nature, you find it easy to work with various internal departments, stakeholders and service providers and you appreciate working in a team

  • Ideally, you have a (technical) university degree with a focus on communication, brand strategy, media or similar

  • You also have extensive experience in planning and managing cross-media advertising campaigns. Ideally, you have event know-how, ideally in the area of multi-sport events

  • Very good German language skills, good English language skills and several years of experience in marketing with a focus on advertising round off your profile
