To strengthen our team, we are looking for the next possible date for a
Manager Accommodation
In the implementing company of the Rhein Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games Full-time / 40 hours per week / limited with a reason in kind until late summer 2025.
The position is located in the Operations/Hospitality area. As Manager:in Accommodation you will be responsible for planning and organizing accommodation for athletes and delegations before and during the event.
We would entrust you in particular with the fulfilment of these tasks:
Technical & organizational management of sub-projects in the subject area of hotels
In direct coordination with the direct supervisor, responsibility for the thematic field of hotels within the OC with the following focus areas:
o Initiation, negotiation and contracting with hotels to meet the needs of individual participant:groups.
o Supporting the consolidation of the accommodation plan
o Management of the hotel inventory from the date of signing the contract until the end of the event.
o Generate reports related to contracted, booked, and released rooms in preparation for the event
o Assist in managing reservations for all attendee groups and liaise with relevant departments and attendees regarding changes to hotel allotments and booking dates.
o Assist the Accommodation Team Lead in the development and implementation of the accommodation booking and management system as part of the deliverables for the event.
o Supporting the onboarding of additional staff members in the Accommodation Team
Budget planning and control for sub-projects
Interface function between OC and the hotel operators
You bring the following skills & knowledge with you:
University degree in disciplines such as event or hotel management or comparable degree
Relevant professional experience in planning and successfully executing an event of similar scale
Strong project management skills
Significant knowledge of the hotel industry
Communication skills (also in german)
Routine in information dissemination and organization
Well structured, conceptual and networked thinking. Distinct hands on mentality
Systematic and solution-oriented way of working
Sensitivity to the needs of the participants
Persuasiveness, assertiveness & organizational skills
High degree of flexibility and obliging appearance
