Manager Branding, Venue & City Dressing (m/f/d)

In the organizing committee of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games Full-time / 40 hours per week / a fixed-term position justified by the duration of the project until late summer 2025.

The position of Manager Branding, Venue & City Dressing (m/f/d) is responsible for the entire branding around and in the venues, in the cities as well as the signage and wayfinding.

The following tasks are the main focus of your area: 

  • You will be responsible for advising, implementing and managing the branding, venue & city dressing as well as the routing of the event and thus ensure the face of the Games and smooth visitor guidance, taking into account the existing corporate identity and corporate design.

  • You will work closely with the internal departments (FAs) Sports, Operations, Venue Management, Marketing and Creation as well as external internationally renowned service providers and suppliers with a focus on branding/venue dressing.

  • Development of a comprehensive brand strategy in coordination with the FA Content & Design to ensure a holistic appearance and a uniform and appealing external image of the games. In particular, the focus here is on signage systems at various locations to get visitors excited about the event and guide them during Games Time.

  • You will define decoration/advertising areas in the cities and develop layouts for the branding in the cities and public transportation including the airport.

  • Observing and enforcing the known safety rules and regulations in order to ensure safe routing at all times in close coordination with the FA Safety & Security.

  • You are responsible for the use of resources and their effectiveness on the basis of the budget.

  • Coordinate and monitor external service providers and suppliers and assist with assembly and disassembly where necessary.

  • You will manage stock levels and coordinate assembly teams and volunteers.

  • Replacing damaged decorations and signage in line with budget and safety regulations, as well as maintaining a high quality external appearance.

  • Participation and organization of site visits in consultation with the respective FAs.

  • Coordination and, if necessary, creation of plans and/or presentations that show and visualize the existing plans.

  • Constant consideration of the involvement of partners, sponsors and shareholders (logo integration and approvals)

  • Coordination with municipal partners and venues (city marketing and communications department of the municipal subsidiaries or venues in the host cities)

  • Creation of procurement processes for the area (incl. award management for the area in coordination with Finance)

You bring the following skills & knowledge with you: 

  • Experience in marketing, communications or a similar field. Ideally, you have event know-how, ideally in the field of multi-sport events and have a degree in marketing, communications or a related field

  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of brand strategies and excellent knowledge of brand communication

  • Creativity, a love of design and an eye for aesthetics combined with a solution-oriented approach

  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills to work in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and turn creative visions into reality
