To strengthen our team, we are looking for the next possible date for a
Senior Manager Accounting and Controlling (m/f/d)
In the organizing committee of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games Full-time / 40 hours per week / a fixed-term position justified by the duration of the project until the end of 2025.
In your role at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games gGmbH, with a direct reporting line to the Head of Finance and Administration, you are responsible for the professional and organizational leadership and development of the finance department, with a focus on accounting and financial management.
The following tasks are the main focus of your area:
Establishment, development, implementation, and management of the entire accounting
Development, implementation, and monitoring of the standard tools in the finance department (financial controlling for the overall organization, liquidity calculation, budget planning, etc.)
Preparation of regular reports for the company's management
Preparation of annual financial statements for joint processing with the external tax consultancy firm
Personnel and organizational responsibility for up to three employees, especially in terms of professional leadership
Application for public funds and preparation of utilization reports for the funding agencies
Identification of digitalization potentials in the finance department and management of the planning and implementation of these
Collaboration with the external tax consultancy firm
Continuous improvement of processes and standards
Participation in financial meetings
You bring the following skills & knowledge with you:
Successfully completed advanced training as an accountant and/or a degree in business administration, finance & accounting, or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in the finance field with pronounced business knowledge, optionally with leadership responsibilities
Proficient user skills in DATEV
Strong English language skills in both written and spoken form
Leadership qualities and assertiveness
Team-oriented, detail-oriented, reliable, and structured work approach
Additionally, we welcome
Experience in the non-profit sector, including project control (public funding and non-profit status)
