Team Leader Region Düsseldorf
In the implementing company of the Rhein Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games Full-time / 40 hours per week / limited with a reason in kind until late summer 2025.
The position is located in the Operations department. As Team Leader, you will make a significant contribution to the successful execution of the event by leading a team together with the Team Leader Sport. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of all events in the Düsseldorf region. Your focus will be on the operational side.
We would entrust you in particular with the fulfilment of these tasks:
Technical management of the Düsseldorf operations team
Development and responsibility of the program in the Düsseldorf region in close cooperation with the team management Sport, this includes:
o Coordination of the internal departments in the planning and implementation process in relation to Operations and in line with the Sports division.
o Coordination with external stakeholders such as resident institutions, external service providers and authorities
o Responsibility for the organization, implementation and follow-up of meetings and appointments related to the Düsseldorf region
Planning of requirements and processes, as well as organization of set-up, conversion and dismantling plans in the area of operations (especially venue, overlay, infrastructure, technology, etc.)
Preparation and processing of contract and contract award documents in cooperation with internal departments
Planning and implementation of all measures required to comply with all legal and event-related safety regulations
Coordination and management of service partners and service providers
Management of employees of the Düsseldorf team
Budget responsibility and budget control for activities within the Düsseldorf region
You bring the following skills & knowledge with you:
Several years of experience (at least 5 years) in the implementation of events
Completed relevant studies or successful training as an event management assistant
Experience in the implementation of legal requirements in the field of events, e.g. VStättV
Local knowledge of event venues is an advantage
Proven experience in project management
Experience in the coordination, management and control of several parallel service providers
Good knowledge in the use of Office-365
Good technical understanding
High degree of flexibility and willingness to work hard
Friendly and open manner, ability to work in a team
Pleasure in working independently
Very good organizational skills
Very good knowledge of German and English
