Are there opening hours for the Festival?

The opening hours for the festival programme are as follows:

  • Bochum:

    • Thu & Fri: 2 - 6 pm (festival programme); 6 - 10 pm (evening programme/concerts)

    • Sat & Sun: 11 - 6 pm (festival programme); 6 - 10 pm (evening programme/concerts)

  • Duisburg: 12 - 6 pm (festival programme); 6 - 10 pm (evening programme/concerts)

  • Essen: 12 - 6 pm (festival programme); 6 - 10 pm (evening programme/concerts)

Do I need a ticket for the Festival?

Whether you need a ticket to attend the festival depends on the city. In Essen, you will need a ticket – such as a Ground Pass, Day Pass, or Sports Ticket. In Bochum and Duisburg, you can access the general festival areas without a ticket. However, some concerts may require a separate ticket. Please check the event listings for each city to see if a ticket is required.
