The Torch of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games combines tradition with transformation. The design incorporates characteristic elements of the region, telling the story of its journey from its mining, manufacturing and engineering roots, to a post-industrial, vibrant cultural landscape.

Six bold contours, inspired by mining shafts, honour the region’s roots, resilience, and strong character. They also symbolise the six Host Cities of the FISU Games.
