Park Festival in Essen: DJ Alle Farben brings the party vibes

Essen can look forward to a true festival highlight at the start of the Park Festival during the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games: On July 21, star DJ Alle Farben will take over the Grugapark stage and kick off the Park Festival with an electrifying live concert. From July 21 to 26, visitors can enjoy a colorful daily program full of music, culture, and festival flair. The concert begins at 8:30 PM – perfect for dancing, celebrating, and soaking up the summer night under the open sky.

Alle Farben, whose real name is Frans Zimmer, has been a fixture of the German and international electronic music scene for years. Songs like “Please Tell Rosie” and “Little Hollywood” have reached platinum status and earned millions of streams. Known for his high-energy performances, he’s a regular at some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland and Parookaville, where he never fails to get the crowd moving.

His performance marks the official opening of the Park Festival in the Grugapark, which will feature even more artists, acts, and cultural highlights – to be announced in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, top-level international university sports will be taking place next door in the Grugahalle and Messe Essen. At the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games, the best student athletes in the world will compete in sports such as basketball, taekwondo, fencing, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, judo, and table tennis.

No separate ticket is required for the Alle Farben concert. Anyone with a valid day ticket, sport ticket for an event in Essen on July 21, or a ground pass will have access to the festival area. That means you can enjoy thrilling competitions during the day and then relax in the evening with great music, heavy beats, and a true summer festival vibe – that’s what summer sounds like in Essen!
