RESTLOS x RR25: The big recycling auction after the Games

The Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games are almost over. But you can look forward to the next highlight. Because in August and September, it's time for round two: with the publicly accessible online auction ‘RESTLOS x RR 2025’. Everything that was purchased for the games and is no longer needed will go under the hammer and await new owners who can make good use of these high-quality items.

The focus is clear: sustainability. Instead of simply disposing of functional materials, they’re given a second chance here. And the best part: it’s not just clubs or organizations that can take part—private individuals are also welcome. Whether you're a sports enthusiast, a DIY fan, or just a bargain hunter: if you’re looking for quality equipment at low prices and want to do something good for the environment at the same time, this is the right place for you.

The auction is being organized in cooperation with the experts at RESTLOS Industrieverwertungen & Service GmbH.

What exactly is being auctioned off? Items from the warehouse location in Duisburg—both new and used—will go under the virtual hammer. These include, for example:

  • Sports equipment and gear for athletics, basketball, and more

  • Event and exhibition equipment such as furniture, technology, and storage accessories

  • Consumables and warehouse goods – i.e. office supplies, packaging, surplus stock

  • ...and many other exciting finds!

Everything is offered in so-called auction lots, and bidding starts at just 1 euro per lot. So, if you browse the catalog smartly, you can score some great deals.

Here are the key dates for your calendar:

  • Starting August 13, 2025: Auction opens (maybe even earlier, depending on how quickly the catalog is ready)

  • August 28, 2025: Public viewing in Duisburg from 10 AM to 12 PM – definitely worth a look!

  • September 1, 2025: Final bids – this is when the winners are determined

  • September 8 & 11, 2025: Collection of auctioned lots – more details will follow, possibly with additional dates

When the auction begins, the complete online catalog will go live, featuring pictures, detailed information, and everything you need to know to place your bids.

Important to note: The auction takes place without any guarantee or warranty. However, any existing manufacturer warranties will, of course, remain valid.
