The main host of the FISU World Conference will be Domitila Barros. Her years of experience, strong commitment to social justice and ecological sustainability, and her passion for sports and health make her an inspiring personality and the perfect ambassador for this event.
To enrich the conference experience, we are launching a student co-moderation contest to select someone to support Domitila Barros on stage.
Your Role
As a co-moderator, you’ll be actively involved in the flow of the FISU World Conference. Your responsibilities include:
Supporting the main host of the FISU World Conference from 17–19 July 2025 in Bochum.
Attending an on-site rehearsal on 16 July 2025 and additional online prep sessions in June/July.
Ensuring smooth transitions between programme elements.
Creating a welcoming and interactive atmosphere for the audience.
Working closely with Domitila Barros, the conference team, and speakers/panelists.
Your Profile
You bring energy, initiative, and confidence? Great! Additionally:
You are 18-27 years old and currently a student or in training.
You’re interested in sustainability and (mental) health in sports.
You have initial experience in event moderation.
You’re communicative, a team player, and confident on stage.
You can respond flexibly to changes.
You have excellent German and English skills and feel confident leading the entire moderation in English.

A letter of motivation (max. 1 page, in English) outlining your interest and suitability for the co-moderation role.
A short video (1-2 minutes, in English) introducing yourself and presenting a short sample intro and outro moderation related to the conference theme.
Optionally, you may attach a moderation portfolio (e.g., references, photos from past events).
All application materials must be submitted in a suitable digital format.
The organising committee will review the applications and invite the top three candidates for a personal interview.
