The aim of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Sports Diploma is to motivate visitors of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games to participate actively and to provide them with an interactive experience. The programme seeks to promote enjoyment of physical activity while offering attendees the opportunity to try out various competitive sports featured at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games through challenges. In doing so, participants will not only get to learn about new sports but also test and develop their athletic skills in a playful environment. At the same time, local sports associations and clubs have the chance to showcase their offerings and engage directly with visitors, fostering long-term interest in sporting activities.
Experts in each sport will provide brief introductions and supervised practice sessions to help participants, for example, learn basic techniques, popular training methods, and most importantly, enjoy the sport. After successfully completing a challenge at a station, visitors will receive a stamp on their personal participant card.
Once they have collected a set number of stamps (e.g., all stamps in Essen), they can present their completed card to receive a small reward. An official Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Sports Diploma is awarded upon the full completion of all stations. The diploma serves as a symbolic recognition of active participation in the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games.
The challenges are designed to be suitable for both beginners and more experienced participants, ensuring that all visitors, regardless of age or fitness level, can take part. The programme not only promotes enjoyment of physical activity but also provides a platform for sports associations and clubs to showcase their offerings to a broad audience and attract new members.
