Volunteer Accommodation

Your Accommodation Options

Finding affordable accommodation is part of the volunteering journey. This is why we compiled a list for every budget: free communal sleeping in gym accommodations, scenic camping places, budget friendly hostels and hotels or even couch surfing to get a multicultural experience.

Please also check for accommodation in nearby cities if there are only a few places available in your assigned city. The cities in the Rhine-Ruhr are are very well connected. With your public transport ticket, you can quickly reach your location by bus, tram, underground, or regional train.

We will provide accommodation in local school gyms (for approximately 200 volunteers per gym). You will need to bring your own mattress, sleeping bag, etc., as we, unfortunately, cannot provide any items.
